TORBEN ØRSKOV
Torben Ørskov & Co. was established in 1953 in Espergærde by the 23-year-old Torben Ørskov together with his friend Knud Nielsen as a design company with a focus on simple and functional design, after Ørskov in 1951-1952 had been in the United States and experienced the wave of modernism and design consciousness, who characterized the country after World War II.
JØRGEN MØLLER
Jørgen Møller (1930-2009) began his career at Arne Jacobsen’s studio.
He was passionate about the simple Scandinavian style and contributed many beautiful classic designs to Ørskov Copenhagen.
HANS BØLLING
Most famous is Hans Bølling for the original tray table, which stands in thousands of homes worldwide.
The tray table was created in 1963, as a collaboration between Hans Bølling and Torben Ørskov.
HENNING KOPPEL
Henning Koppel (1918-1981) was a Danish designer, with an interest in classical Scandinavian design.
He became especially known as designer of silverware for Georg Jensen. In addition, Henning Koppel has made designs for eg. Louis Poulsen and Ørskov Copenhagen.
NANNA SKIBSTED
Nanna Skibsted developed a series of bowls in Scandinavian design, together with her father Jørgen Møller, in connection with the design competition “Ceramics for daily use”.
This became the melamine dish “The Bowl” from Ørskov.
