FAQ

String bags

Many people ask if our Stringbags are produced in organic cotton. The answer is YES they are produced in organic cotton. The factory is GOTS certified.

What is a GOTS certification? – GOTS controls ingredients from production through processing to finished product, and provides a guarantee for environmentally and socially responsible production to the final consumer.

View certificate here.

We are not fully aware of this, as we have not specifically tested it. But we use them ourselves for shopping. If you need to carry something heavy in a stringbag, it is best to use a Heavy String Bag

Log Holders

Yes, as long as the span is closed properly, you can easily carry wood in the log holder. It is very strong and not just for decoration.

Tea Towels

Put the dish towel in cold water for 24 hours and then wash at 60 ° C. It causes the fibers to straighten out and ensure high drying capacity from the start.

REMEMBER to completely unfold the tea towel before soaking.

The product can tolerate tumble drying, but we recommend hanging drying, as this results in a smoother result and is more environmentally friendly.

Rubber Placemats

Basically, the rubber placemats can withstand almost anything. They are easy to clean with detergent and a damp cloth. BUT be aware that foods that give off strong color, such as curry, ketchup, red wine, etc. should be wiped off immediately so that it does not stain.

Cutlery

Yes. It is made of stainless steel.

Glass

The size of the glasses is described on each product on the webshop.

Our glass can withstand almost anything. They are made of borosilicate glass, and therefore can withstand both getting in the owen, the freezer, the microwave and the dishwasher.

You can also use them as small refractory dishes, for candles, flowers and decoration.

Leather

Yes all our leather is 100% genuine. Our soft leather products, such as bags, toilet purses and aprons are made of core leather and our hard leather goods, such as letter trays, organizers and pen holders are made of recycled leather.

The waste material used to make the recycled leather we get from other leather products, for example sandals.

The pieces of waste are then crushed and recycled by adding water and a natural latex to make a new leather plate.

After the leather plate is made, a coating is laid on top of the leather to prevent dirt and grease from sticking to the surface and to ensure that maintenance is easy.

Then the plate is shaped to our classic leather designs – perfect for everyday use.

We make our high quality products with a clear conscience.

General advice on leather care:

·          For daily cleaning a hard-wrung lint-free cloth in clean water is recommended

·          Do not place your leather products directly on heat sources

·          Protect your leather products from direct sunlight for extended periods of time

·          Never use petrol or other chemicals on leather

·          Leather is a natural product and is therefore patinated in use

Recycled leather in general:

Recycled leather is already surface treated in the production and can therefore be taken directly into use.

It can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. If you experience a stain that does not go off, try the dishwashing detergent on the rough side of a sponge.

Do not store the leather in direct sunlight for a long time at a time or directly up to heat sources.
